Hi guys just posting for abit of advice and to see if anybody else has had the same experience ill try and keep this short 😆
2 days ago i had a sudden dull heavy ache right sided groin pain
this went after a couple of hrs but then came back and its been on me all day yesterday and all morning today its not agonising pain but around a 6.5/10 pain score
the pain also travels into my right leg and lower back also right side
33 F no other medical problems i am 5 days late but thats not unusual for me already done 2 tests and both negative i have never experienced this before and the fact its been on me now everyday all day and isnt going away has got me thinking 🤔 i will make a gp appointment tomorrow but am i over reacting is this a normal for women to experience from time to time?

Ovarian pain?

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 28/06/2026 12:08

Is it in your actual groin? I get similar, its in my groin- about the same height as my mons, but in the crease as it were. Worried it was a hernia, dr checked, no swelling, his opinion was it was the start of arthritis in.my hip. Joy-mum had both hips replaced. His suggestions, keep mobile, take ibuprofen, lose weight.

Doctors always like to ignore women's health problems and tell them to lose weight. Since your period is late, have you taken a pregnancy test? I would be concerned that you either have appendicitis or an ectopic pregnancy and I would at least call 111.

Sorry, read your message again and see you have got negative pregnancy tests: I think that might not rule out an ectopic pregnancy.

Hip joint problems are often felt in the groin.

This is why i come on here first to see if anybody else had experienced it and is it worth a gp visit i dont like going to the GP they tend to make me feel like im over exaggerating and i try not go 😔 111 is a good idea

Mine is like a burning pain op. I've not managed to shift weight but ive been doing rotations of my hip every night and tai chi exercises to flex my hips.

OutOfApricots · 29/06/2026 16:33

@AJE131520 The area you describe is close to where the appendix is. You need to seek medical advice asap.

Did you manage to get an appointment? I am having the exact same pain as you. I could have written this post myself. Currently with a hot water bottle on my abdomen (burning feeling where my right ovary is). Ive had a pelvic ultrasound which came
Back normal..
