To start the combined pill a 41

Hi there
So im pretty irritable and low mood from ovulation till my period, so i spoke to the Gp about going back on the pill (been using other forms of contraception) she prescribed one called dretine? Used to be yasmin.
But im worried about side effects and what if it makes me even lower or more irritable? Im also going on holiday in 4 weeks, our first one as a family and my period is due to show up smack back in the midle of our 7 day holiday.
I wondered if i could just take them back to back. (Used to do this pre kids). My oeriods are heavy heavy!
Ahhh its so hard being a woman.

I guess if your GP has prescribed the combined pill and you’re happy with it then it’s fine.

GP’s routinely recommend running pill packs back to back with a break every three months or so.

For me, my mood is lowest just before bleeding so I would be better off having the break on holiday than running the packs together. But everyone is different.
