Anyone else had prolonged spotting on the desogestrel pill?

Hi, has anyone been on the Desorex desogestrel pill? I’m on my second month and have been bleeding/ spotting for 3-4 weeks. Although I know it’s very common to spot when starting a new pill, i didn’t expect it to be so consistent for such a long period of time. I’ve never had this in other pills.

I’m due to go on holiday in August (5 weeks time) and I was hoping not to have a period whilst there. But I don’t see the bleeding stopping by then. 😔

Anyone else been in this pill? Would you recommend sticking it out? Changing pills? The constant bleeding is starting to get me down.

I’ve been on it for 2 years now. After about a year the spotting calmed down a bit and I now get a ‘period’ every couple of months but still some unpredictable spotting in between. Sorry, not what you want to hear.

Something that might help for your holiday is coming off of the pill for a couple of weeks and going back on.

I take 2 pills everyday which reduces the bleeding and is safe to do.

Oh 2 months is nothing
