Heavy period - is this unusual

Recently came off birth control pill, and had my first period. Was taking Yasmin pill for less than a year.

I’ve had to change sanitary towel roughly every hour today. At one point I was on a work call so didn’t get to change until 1 hours 45 and I ended up bleeding through my jeans (not small stain either quite large).

Just wonder if this would be considered unusual amount

I've never had periods where I don't flood and need multiple types of protection at once and this was unusual but unsure if what you describe is a typical coming-off-pill pattern as never taken that contraception, sorry.
