Don't know if im in the right section but wanted to off load somewhere. I have had a number of mammograms and checks due to breast lumps over last several years. Thankfully all clear and cysts aspirated. For several weeks I've had a pain in my right breast. This is new for me. Didn't panic and waited to see if it changed over my cycle. It didn't so went to gp on friday. Not my usual gp. She checked and said there wasn't a lump but it felt different and she'd refer to clinic. I got a text this morning to say its not urgent and there will be a 4 month wait for an appointment. So disappointed as this will be on my mind wondering what if.

I had new breast pain and was referred under the 2w pathway and seen within a week. I had previously had a fibroadenoma though that is still there, but doesn’t cause pain. I’d go back and tell them how anxious you are! I would be, even though it’s likely nothing worrying. Mine still comes and goes, never got to the bottom of it , but a scan put my mind at rest.

Thanks @itsquietinside glad you got some reassurance. When it twinges I get anxious as I thankfully don't have other pains and aches and associate pain with a problem. Im also a little shocked that 3 to 4 months is acceptable for any health issue.
