Is thick stringy discharge normal after having a copper coil fitted

I got the copper coil in early may, for the past week and a half I've had thick, stringy, snot like discharge which doesn't have a smell but varies in colour. I'm not sure if it's normal to be experiencing or not.

I’ve had mine removed now (swapped for a Mirena for HRT), but I do remember at certain points in my cycle discharge would be heavier. Check with your GP or nurse if you are unsure.

Yes I experienced this, so gross. I'm experiencing prolonged bleeding now. I bled for 5 days after fitting, 3 days no bleeding, and now on day 5 bleeding. Hoping this settles soon.
