Forgotten 1st 3 days of progesterone

I am on HRT- oestrogen gel everyday and progesterone tablets days 15-26. Been on it a year and just realised that for the first time I have forgotten to start taking the progesterone. I should have started taking it on Thurs. Looking online I should start taking tonight and take the remaining 9 days out of 12. Does this seem right?

I would just take the 12 days from today. I take it the first of every month so I don’t forget, so obviously, I don’t take on the exact same day every month.

Yes, usually you should start the progesterone as soon as you remember and take the remaining 9 days. Missing a few days once is unlikely to cause harm, but check with your gp.

Oh goodness me I do this all the time, am thinking of delaying next month as I want a good time for a race and prpgesterone slows me down. Is this bad and if so why ?

Thankyou for the replies! I started taking it last night and will go and see the pharmacist to check its 9 not 12 days
