Extremely worried about this boob dimple

I'm so absolutely worried about this dimple.
Its near my armpit crease but won't go if I raise my arms.
Not sure how long it's there, I have huge health anxiety especially around breasts so I never look.
I had Mamo in 4/25 and private ultrasound in 8/25 and gp check 1/26 for another issue (pain)
On top of it im going away for a week tomorrow so I'm very down, nonstop worrying, checking it all instead of enjoying holidays i was so looking forward last 9 months.
I can't feel nothing underneath, just soft tissue and muscle.
Is it bad?
Im 52 post menopausal woman.

I'm sorry you are so worried. Do you have the same crease on the other side (other boob)? To me it looks like a normal crease from the weight of breasts, but obviously if its something new, then speak to your GP to get it checked.

underthehawthorntree · 24/05/2026 11:43

It actually doesn't look like a dimple at all unless the photo is very bad. It looks like normal skin or anatomy.

My boobs are fairly small.. on other side its creased but more naturally, not a rounded dimple shape like on the other..
This is the other arm.
Im shocked how bad saggy my skin looks tbh...

It’s hard to tell because your photos aren’t the best quality but just book a GP appointment after your holiday. Try not to worry too much. I had what I thought was a dent but it turned out it was just from losing weight from my breasts. Had mammogram and ultrasound to be sure.

Sadinmay · 24/05/2026 11:59

More hopefully better photo.
What worries me is the round shape, it's not a crease long shape like the others and it's stays all the time.
I'm aware of cellulitis looks same as I got lots of back of legs and also torso however not on breast ..

From the 1st pic, I thought your boob was on the left of the photo and your torso on the right. In the 2nd pic, I can see that its the other way around the dimple is on the breast. It might be just cellulitis because as you said, I can see that around your torso but certainly worth getting it checked.

KentishMama · 24/05/2026 14:27

I would get it checked. You're obviously worried, so go to a breast clinic.

The left area is my arm..
The dimple is on the very end if boob, just by the arm crease. I thought that part is not even part of boob as literally very close to the arm but apparently it is called breast tail leading to the armpit..

Ring the doctor whilst u are on holiday and organise an appointment. If u say u have a lump/ dimple they will get u in. Don't let them.fob u off. There's no.more u can do at present. Try and enjoy your greatly anticipated holiday OP.

That doesn't work like that with my surgery.
Can be contacted online and if they send urgent appointments, that's the same day only. Non urgent are usually around 6-8 weeks.
So i can only contact them Tuesday next week.

I agree, Contact gp and get it looked at. If they refer you, that’s perfectly normal. Doctors like to err on the side of caution. I once got referred due to breast pain alone.

I noticed i got these dimples everywhere on my torso, in my inside arms too, not to mention legs, bum etc.
Im actually shocked about the state of my arms as per those pics, I don't know when they got so bad, im not oversized- sz12- 14 mostly, the arms look like i would be 20 years older😩

Sadly OP estrogen drops cause collegan to break down and you get sudden changes in the skin firmness then it plateaus. I am 56 and I experienced these sudden changes.

Seawolves · 25/05/2026 09:20

I had an area that was sunken, I was very worried but it turned out to be a collapsed cyst. Make an appointment as soon as you can to get it checked.
