I have been suffering recently. I have lost 19 ish lbs since last July, feel amazing but also get so cold a lot of the time. I will often have freeing cold hands.
I am 44, 45 in November, never really had any problems before losing weight.
Recently I have noticed I am sweating so much over night, i will kick covers off and within 10 mins I am freezing cold again and the cycle continues. It is often with freezing cold hands.
I did used to drink a fair amount of alcohol but now am cutting down as have a new partner after 5 years who doesn't drink so things are very different now.
For instance Saturday night I had 2 gins and was awake nearly all night sweating and freezing cold,
Does anyone have any advice please?

I had this before I went on HRT, I’d have a flush but then go really cold after it . HRT meds sorted it.

This was me when I was 46.

Turned out to be peri menopause.

My body felt roasting hot inside but my skin was stinging with the cold when I threw the covers off.

Like when you put a mixer tap on too fast and you can feel both hot and cold coming through at the same time.

Losing weight can make you feel colder, but the night sweats, freezing hands, and sleep disruption at 44–45 could also be related to hormones, thyroid, anemia, or alcohol changes.
