Pelvic floor dysfunction? How to seek help?

Does anyone have any experience with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction?

I just learned about this condition today, after googling some symptoms, and I have 8/10 symptoms.

I have no idea where to get any assistance with this, even to start initial enquiries and if there is even a point?

Some background: I believe I have posted before about GI distress and, apparently, this is part of this condition + other symptoms I've had. So, on this occasion, I'm not in the realms of health anxiety but trying to be pragmatic about how to enquire and manage.

See a women’s health physiotherapist. They are marvellous.

I had an appointment with my GP, explained my symptoms of a rectocele, she agreed and referred me to a gynaecologist who then checked it and referred me to pelvic floor physio

Pelvic floor physio, either private or via GP referral

As others have said, physios who specialise in the pelvic floor.
Google Gussie Gripper.

Definitely a womens health physio. GP will refer but if you can afford to pay, the NHS Squeezy app and website has a directory of pelvic floor physios so I'd start there. https://squeezyapp.com/directory/

Yep, even my extremely elderly DM would say go see a pelvic physio and she's very dismissive of help usually.

I saw one privately but she was also head of the local NHS service and said the waiting lists weren't that bad, in an area with often very long waiting lists.

It was very helpful!
