Could this be peri?

I’m about to turn 40. Over the last year I’ve noticed symptoms and I’m wondering if it could mean the start of peri. Nc as some are embarrassing. Firstly ovulation symptoms have ramped up. When I’m ovulating I am like a dog on heat, can’t stop thinking about sex and get very noticeable symptoms like heavy EWCM and quite severe pain. When that week is over I’m totally back to normal and have very little interest in sex 😂

I am tired. My legs ache. I have itchy skin and just feel generally meh a lot of the time. I’m planning on getting some blood tests done to see if I’m deficient in anything.

Periods are still fairly normal and regular.

Has anyone else experienced symptoms like this? I know I’m on the relatively young side but I do feel like something is beginning to shift in me. I read somewhere that when your body knows it’s getting to that stage it really ramps up some of the biological urges in a last ditch attempt to get pregnant. Not going to happen here but it does make sense.

It could be a whole range of things. Getting a blood test is a good idea. Probably also a good idea to get a pelvic scan since you have that increased pain.

It’s only during ovulation. I have always had the pain and it comes and goes quite quickly but it has gotten more intense.

I've just had a hysteroscopy for the same issue. Nothing found, but worth checking out.
