Palpitations again!

Had palpitations all day, at times quite heavy feeling.
So this evening I rang 111 and was advised to go to a and e for an ecg and bloods.
I'm sat here, it's really busy, so I keep thinking I should have stayed home and stuck with it and not added to the busy a and e dept.
Think I just need a bit of tlc.

Are you perimenopausal? I started getting them in my late 40’s, mainly in the evening after dinner. They stopped as soon as I started hrt.

Mid 60's unfortunately....
Had them post menopausal but they went away.. then came back a few months ago, then they stopped. i had a 24 hour tape and they diagnosed me with first degree heart block which it appears is common and nothing to worry about.
But today they've been there all day and by tonight I was really fed up with them.

I get heart palpitations if I eat high carb food. I'm also menopausal. It might be worth keeping a food/symptom diary.

It’s never too late for hrt.

@Ihateknowingthis I presume your gp wouldn’t be behind this, because most sadly seem to lack women’s health training, so private maybe your only option.
oestrogel, rubbed on the thighs is well tolerated and easy to adjust dose. And then progesterone, which stops the womb lining from getting thicker, utrogestan or another body identical form, taken as a tablet.
