Hello just looking for any experiences or advice

I'm 39f who has been having heavy periods but about 8 weeks apart from summer 25 to Christmas.
Then since then approx a medium light flow period for 3 weeks, followed by flooding heavy period for about a week, then a month off so Dec/Jan and Mar/Apr

1 child (4yrs) periods were fairly regular and non issue before child and only been an issue in the past year.

I had a abdominal and transv ultrasound and only notes were ticker uterine lining than they would expect for where I was in cycle.

Not on contraception, not pregnant.

Other symptoms are lower abdominal pain, back pain, fatigue, nausea, rectal pain and occasional bands of pain around ribcage.

I'm having lots of little clots but have had some bigger ones.

I'm due my yearly pap (high risk HPV) but have been bleeding so need to keep rescheduling.

Is this just perimopause? I'm seeing a gynecologist later this week and I'm worried nothing will change and it will be the whole it's normal routine

Thank you

Have they checked your thyroid? That can mess with periods, cause thicker lining, irregular periods, flooding and clots, fatigue plus all sorts of pains but……yes, it could just be peri, or Endo
