Is heavy bleeding after six months on the implant normal?

So i had the implant put in a day after having my son back october
Ive had a period on 1 month miss a month and when i have came on they have pro longed by upto 11days each timr and have been light to med flo
I am now month 6 and my period is so heavy im on day 3
They not been this heavy since before i was pregnant
I thought the implant helped lighten them?
This is like shockin heavy is this normal around month 6? Or should i be seekin to have this removed

Bar one or two very light ones I didn't have periods when I had the implant.

I know my relative had heavy bleeding and the doctor put her on the pill as well for a month

I'd book a GP appointment and have it checked out.

Also when you say heavy if you are soaking though a pad quickly, feel very faint or dizzy I'd call the out of hours doctor / similar tonight
