Mirena coil after endometriosis surgery: better or worse for PMS moods?

I recently had surgery to remove stage 4 endometriosis. The surgeon said I have retrograde bleeding which cause the endo to come back sooner. To avoid this, I’m considering using the mirena coil to prevent period bleeds. However, my pms is very bad, I get very down, tired and seriously stroppy before my period. I’m worried that the mirena will make my moods worse as I seem to be sensitive to hormones especially progesterone. Can anyone tell me if the mirena coil has made pms mood swings better or worse for them? x

I’ve not noticed any difference. If it helps I hated the pill but the mirena seems fine. I had it fitted during my endo surgery
it’s also stopped my periods

The Mirena coil can reduce PMS symptoms for some, but may worsen mood swings in those sensitive to hormones like progesterone. It varies by individual.
