Prolonged bleeding with a uterine polyp, what were your symptoms?

Hi, I’m hoping to hear from anyone who’s experienced prolonged bleeding linked to a uterine polyp. What was your bleeding actually like day-to-day?
I’ve been dealing with persistent daily bleeding/spotting for months now with no clear answers. A hysteroscopy found a 25mm polyp, but my uterus otherwise looked completely normal at the time. The gynecologist suggested a polyp that size wouldn’t usually cause this level of ongoing bleeding, which has left me feeling quite confused.
If you’ve had something similar, I’d really appreciate hearing what your symptoms were like and whether the polyp turned out to be the cause.
Thank you 💛

I had 2 years of spotting and bleeding which no one did anything about and I just had to suck it up as being peri

however when they did a scan to look at my coil they found 2 polyps which they removed pretty swiftly

that was last July and I haven’t had one episode since

I had bleeding between periods and also a year after menopause, doctor was very concerned. Had a hysteroscopy, they removed the polyps and did biopsies. Removing the polyps stopped the bleeding. I'm unsure how large they were but I could see them on the screen.

My polyp was about that size and it bled loads too! Got worse and worse for a year when I finally had it removed and mirena coil put in. It took a year to settle down and for the bleeding to lessen.

Thank you for sharing. A year on top of what you bled with the polyp? Gosh…

Women are just heroes. Who would go on for two years with bleeding and nothing being done about it. So sorry to hear you had to go through it. Im about to hit 10 month mark..

it must have felt like such relief, once they were removed. Back to living your life. I find it so mentally draining!

Yes it was rubbish! Although I now realise some of it was peri and the last hurrah.

Yes, although I had to have a hysterectomy soon after. Which really helped!
