Mirena coil removal after six months: how long to feel normal again?

Can anyone else relate. I’ve had the mirena coil for 6 months and having it taken out in a few days as it’s been the most awful 6 weeks. Acid reflux, weight gain, depression, low sex drive, discomfort wearing contact lenses and rosacea.
How did you feel once having the mirena coil out and does it take months to be back to ‘normal.’ I’m so worried it’s going to take 6months and then I feel I’ve kind of wasted a year to doing this
Thanks

I think you should feel better quite quickly once the progestogen is out of your system.

Honestly, a lot of people start to feel better pretty quickly after taking out the Mirena coil, even within a few weeks.
Your body usually settles back in about 1–3 months, not as long as you’re fearing.
And it’s not wasted time, you’ve just learned what your body doesn’t tolerate.
