Fibroid and bleeding between periods

I’ll caveat by saying I’m seeing the gp on Monday but I’d like to know if others have experienced fibroid symptoms? I had a scan that shows a 7cmx7cm fibroid. Clear smear test. But I’ve had bleeding between periods for a few months, heavy periods. Nausea ( stress) tummy upsets. I’ve read these can all be side effects - has anyone experienced the bleeding between periods?

Yes. I bled continuously for a couple of years in my late 40's before a hysterectomy solved the problem.

It’s miserable isn’t it. I’m worried it might not be related to the fibroid, I’m hoping for more investigations

Occam's razor! Hopefully your GP will be able to confirm so try not to worry.

Yes, bleeding between periods can be a symptom of fibroids, especially if they are large. It's good you're seeing your GP for further evaluation.
