Hello, I developed my 1st chalazion when I was pregnant with DC2 fast forward 10 months it was still there so I had it surgically drained (Oct 25). Now, about 6 weeks ago I got another one not painful was doing warm compresses etc then 2 weeks ago I woke up with the most swollen eye ever!!! It was another one…GP gave antibiotics, didn’t work hot compresses seemed to keep it inflamed more than anything. Now the swelling has gone down I’ve got another one !! So that’s 3 on one eyelid. I look awful.

please someone help me, share what got rid of yours?! The surgery was extremely uncomfortable so I really don’t want to go down that road again but I will have to if these don’t disappear :(((

Unfortunately the surgery was the only thing that helped me. And trust me, I tried every trick there was (the steam, the compresses, eye warmers, massages, apple cider vinegar, drops, etc). The warm massages actually made it worse and more swollen.

That’s what I find too re warm massages! I can’t believe I’m going to have to get the surgery again arghhhh. Did yours ever come back?

I had one on each eye (post pregnancy), had them for about a year (while trying out every remedy), but never came back after surgery. Wish I did it so much sooner, it was a year of feeling so rubbish about how I looked 😕

DD had one aged 22. Had to get surgery privately as such a long wait on NHS. Was about £500 in London.

I am the queen of eye styes which became chalazions (sp?). I now wipe with hypochlorous acid once or twice a day and coat my eyelashes with Vaseline before I go to sleep. I read that this deprives the specific problematic bacteria of oxygen so they can’t breed and infect your eyes. it seems, so far very effective. I also have the peep electronic warm eye massager but don’t need to use it now I have hypochlorous acid and Vaseline combo.
