I first asked my GP to be referred for tubal ligation in April 2024. I had my consultant appointment in August 2024 and she told me I was too fat (though not in so many words!) so I lost 6st and in August 2025 I asked to be re-referred, in October I got a letter from Gynae saying I was on the waiting list to see the consultant and it said they try and see patients within 56 days, which would’ve been 17th Dec for me and I still haven’t heard anything.
I know how badly the NHS is struggling, and I know I will be on the list to be seen at SOME point. I’m just getting a little concerned with how long it’s been. I wasn’t sure if I should give them a call or just leave it and wait?
