Ive been having some symptoms of cervical
Cancer been bleeding in between periods been told it’s the mini pill it has got better and isn’t as frequent now and some
more discharge than normal. I’ve had a recent normal smear and colposcopy also a private pelvic mri. I had a hysterocropy recently to remove a polyp found on an ultrasound which was all normal and the dr also commented on the cervix and cervical canal being entirely normal, im scared i have something sinister going on higher up that isn’t visible to scans I can’t be assured by the drs assuring normal report, does anyone know if there was something more going on it would be seen? I know I should listen to the gynaecologist he said he looked inside with the camera as it goes along the cervix into womb and all reported as normal he said anything microscopic won’t be seen but anything larger tha would be causing problems would be he said. Sorry I know I sound crazy but I feel I know my body and I’m worrying something has been missed

What further testing and reassurance would help you?

It sounds like you are focusing on an issue that has been thoroughly investigated and nothing was found, so I think you might have health anxiety, and that's maybe where you should focus things. Speak to GP about that, it can be all consuming and obsessive.

Mini pill in notorious for this . I’m thinking of coming off it I’m sick of it

I’m not sure as they won’t do just an invasive biopsy or cut things away unless the have reason too.
Thanks for your reply I have been suggested to get help for my worries

You had a hysteroscopy and polyp removal. They analysed the polyp and was all clear. If they saw anything else suspicious they would have taken samples of that too, but they didn't and it wasn't necessary. Your cervical area has been thoroughly checked, you even had a pelvic MRI. Nothing else to be checked!

Go see GP and get some guidance about your anxiety. If you constantly feel that the tests so far are not giving all the answers, then further tests (what I don't know!) won't satisfy you either. That's health anxiety, so get that treated. The gynae stuff is perfect and fine, but nothing will convince you. That's the problem I think.
