Left ovary stuck

Lemonbaytree · 15/03/2026 19:53

I am not looking for any one to diagnose me. Just asking for your experiences, if similar.

I had an ultrasound yesterday, my left ovary was stuck where as the right one moved freely.

There were no cysts that they could see.

Has anyone else had this and what was the next steps? In just waiting for the consultant to contact me about the results.

Thank you.

Can be for a multitude of reasons such as scar tissue or endometriosis…but you’re likely looking at an MRI next and then probably a laparoscopy if it’s causing you pain/problems.

The left ovary may be stuck due to adhesions (scar tissue) , have you had any previous abdominal surgery?. Adhesions once formed can only be removed surgically, drug treatment is not effective. They may or equally may not do a MRI scan but they may well perform a laparoscopy which is keyhole surgery .

My right ovary is adhered to my uterus, due to endometriosis.

That's interesting, I do tend to get pain on that side!
