Very heavy periods since baby, will they settle?

I had my baby in October 2024 and didn’t get my period back until Aug 2025 - since then they have been horrendously heavy!

I’m going through a super tampon as often as every 1-2 hours for several days at a time and at night I’m waking up to change & still having to wear maternity pads to prevent leaks. I’ve just been out for 3.5 hours without access to a loo and I’ve bled through to my (thankfully black!) leggings.

i did always have fairly heavy periods but not like this - weirdly they are so far a lot less painful than before which is good I suppose.

Anyway just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same and did things eventually settle back down? I did have a C-Section and I know this was one of the potential risks.

Would urge you to seek medical advice from your Gp asap. You could also request a referral to a gynae. You need a diagnosis first and foremost , do not keep
putting up with heavy bleeding because it does impact
on your day to day life if it’s not already doing so.

If finances permit pay to see a gynae at your local
private based Nuffield or spire hospital for an initial consultation. I suggest this also because waiting lists to see a gynaecologist in many areas are miles long.
