Mirena with Evorel Sequi for adenomyosis: experiences and side effects?

I know this has been done to death but I am on the fence about having a Mirena fitted and need some wise words.

I have adenomyosis and have a heavy bleed but this usually only lasts for the first 3 days then tails off. I’m 46 and my cycle is still pretty regular but short - anything between 21 -25 days is the norm with the odd surprise period thrown in.
I started Evorel Sequi 50 last year for peri symptoms and they’ve made a huge difference.I feel great on them.

My GP has suggested the coil to alleviate the heavy bleeding.
I’m in a new relationship so I’m worried about the irregular bleeding and spotting that may occur. I’m also very hesitant about it as I’m worried about the potential side effects such as acne (I had PCOS but have managed to get that under control) and more worryingly hair thinning as that’s something I noticed before going on the patches.

Does anyone have the Mirena and use Evorel? Does the estrógen in the patches counteract the negative potential side effects of the coil?
I love the idea of my periods stopping as despite being heavy for only a couple of days, they can restrict me a lot due to the flow and pain and having to plan things like days out and holidays around my cycle.
