Persistent morning-sickness-like nausea when not pregnant, perimenopause or antibiotics?

Has anyone experienced “morning sickness” like nausea when definitely not pregnant?

I have the EXACT feeling (low level nausea constantly, though of sweet foods makes it worse, snacking makes it slightly better) at the moment - I don’t feel like this with normal sickness, I have only ever felt this feeling when pregnant but I’m definitely not…

In case relevant, I am 40 (could it be perimenopause hormones?!) and have had a UTI so am on antibiotics.

Antibiotics can make you feel nauseous. Or have you have it for longer than this?

Antibiotics can definitely do that. Are you taking them as directed - some definitely say take with food, and if you don't, they can make you feel really sick.

It did start with the uti and has persisted with the antibiotics. I am taking with food as directed.

its odd though, it’s not a “normal” nausea - it’s that exact pregnancy sickness feeling of constant low level nausea (hard to describe) where even the thought of water is off putting… but maybe it is just the antibiotic sickness!

I know two people who have had this with the contraceptive pill, suddenly, after being on it for years without problems.
