Periods whilst breastfeeding - bleeding stopping & starting

Hello,
just wondered if anyone else has the same..I’ve not had a normal period since 2018 pre babies…my period always returns 12 months postpartum. My cycle is like clockwork, this time around with my third baby day 1 is quite heavy bleeding, then it stops til day 3 and returns abit, then stops and again on day 5 starts abit and then goes away…I also get quite bad gastrointestinal issues aswell,,,is this caused by breastfeeding and does anyone else have similar?

In my experience I had periods like this where it would stop for a day and then restart for one or two, even after I’d stopped Bf. It was so annoying as I’d think it had stopped - it caught me out a few times !
