Worried about bleeding

Hello 👋
I have noticed in the past week everytime I have a bowel movement i bleed bright red fresh blood with clots out my front (sorry for TMI) once I’ve wiped it’s gone until my next bowel movement. It’s not my period. I have a doctor appointment on Monday which was booked a couple of weeks ago for a different reason (change in bowel habits) I’m unsure if these could be connected?
has anyone else had this problem?
TIA

I have no suggestions about the cause but I am sure the doctor will examine you thoroughily and probably send you for tests. Fortunate that you are seeing the doctor so soon.

This is me too but I have no idea what it is or if I need to see anyone about it

First of all, are you absolutely sure it's coming from your vagina? I had similar but it wasn't only happening with a bowel movement, it was when I wiped after a pee too. Only lasted one day. I wasn't sure where it originated from so I checked and yep, it was from vagina. You know how to check I'm sure but you seem sure that's the origin anyway.

Not to scare you, but it's better to know what they might advise/send you for, so I had had a colonoscopy a month before this happened which was clear, so they now are sending me straight for Hysteroscopy to check womb etc. I am post meno a good few years, so any bleeding like that is taken very seriously. I'm a bit concerned, but nothing I can do until the tests are done!

Statistically it will be something very simple. I'm hoping for a similar result, so best of luck.

Thank you for the replies.
id 100% recommend getting checked to be safe x
yes it was definitely from my from x
i had a womb scan in 2024 and had a polyp removed and biopsy of my womb done at the same time all came back clear and I’ve had no problems since. Recently I’ve noticed change in bowel habits so I’d booked an appointment with doctor last week and my appointment is tomorrow morning. The fresh blood had happened after booking my original appointment for bowel habits so I will be sure to mention it tomorrow in my appointment.
sending you positive thoughts - please come back and let me know outcome and I will also in the hope it can help someone who reads this thread xx

Hello, I just thought I’d share a little update.
I had my doctor appointment yesterday, tho doctor was so good. He listened to me and said “let’s start some investigations as to why this is happening.” I’m going for blood tests on Thursday, he also mentioned doing a FIT test and another test (can’t remember the name of it) but did say they are highly sensitive tests. So I guess we will see what the results say and go from there.

Bright red blood with clots during bowel movements can be caused by issues like hemorrhoids or anal fissures. It's good you're seeing your doctor on Monday to check if it's related to your bowel habit changes.

I had this and it was caused by a vaginal polyp which bled after a bowel movement.
