I can feel something up there

I have polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis so I bleed a lot and it's often flooding and with huge clots.

I'm bleeding at the moment and the bleeding pushed my tampon out but as I went to fish it out thinking it was still up there and feeling around, I felt that something inside there (my cervix?) was so low down and there was a lump. I will speak to my GP but is it normal for everything to be so low down? I feel squeamishly sick now.

I wonder if you have some sort of womb or bladder prolapse. It’s quite common. Make an appt to see your GP for an examination. If they suspect it, they’ll refer you to gynaecologists to discuss your options. Often a specialist coat can help with special exercises .

Have you given birth? After two babies my cervix is MUCH lower than it was. It feels pretty strange - I also hate to touch it with my fingers and find it squeamish, but if you can bear to feel it properly you might realise the shape is normal/ as expected.

How low, I can just about feel my cervix and have always been able to. Definitely make an appointment with a doctor to get it checked though.
