I cant find a skincare title sorry if this one is incorrect

im 36 soon to 37 year old (mum to teens) and i look like im in my late 40s. Im trying so hard but the information is overwhelming.
i can be sensitive have large pores awful texture prone to all kinds of acne. Combination skin. And look fatigued tired and haggard. Also looking for easy to access budget friendly products.

my current routine is-
Am-cereave hydrating cleanser
either garnier barrier repair serum or aveeno calming serum
cereave moisturiser with spf50

pm-simple oil cleanser
one of the above serums
simple light hydrating moisturiser
and started to introduce azelaic acid
ciraplast cica b5 cream

i just want to look my age and good for it.

what are others doing?
i cant face botox or fillers due to needle phobias. And i cant spend 100s on treatments. 😭

I’m 37. I use nip and fab products

I’ve been taking advantage of Boots £10 Tuesdays where they knock £20-£30 off popular skin care etc

Longlistmama · 02/02/2026 07:09

But what are your routines? What’s working for you?

I was recommended by beautician….

AM
cleanse
tone
vitamin C serum
moisturiser with high SPF

PM
double cleanse
tone
serum with retinol
any hydrating moisturiser (as much quantity and price as you want!)

I second using the Boots £10 Tuesday - sometimes when they are changing packaging of their own products you can get an even better deal!

Water and a flannel for cleansing. Change flannel often/daily.
Caudalie moisturizer.

Some good stuff on £10 Tuesday today .

I have been using skin+me and it has changed my skin. I'm 36 and had adult acne and its gone.
I use simple products and an spf. I rarely wear make up anymore, when I wore make up daily.

Agree with the previous poster. Don’t waste money guessing what would be best. I get a personalised formula from Dermatica for £25 a month and it’s sorted my issues with rosacea

For a budget-friendly routine: cleanse, apply Vitamin C serum and SPF in the morning, and use azelaic acid and a light moisturizer at night. Exfoliate with AHA/BHA 2-3 times a week and use a hydrating mask. Keep it simple to avoid overwhelming your skin.
