So I called the dentist at 8 o clock in the morning as they say call up at this time to book an urgent appointment on the day. So I called banged on time and i went through voicemail to say the surgery is closed , so I called again twice more and it said the same thing by the time it was 8-02am and then I tried the fourth time and it went through so the lady picked up and she said yes we do have an appointment at 11-45 and it’s the only last one we have . So I asked why is it the only apt you have today when I called at 8 and the lines was off she said we was here at 8 and it’s all been taken. I am thinking they are lying and the apts already been pre booked? What you guys think please?

I think they only have a couple of emergency appointments and you’re lucky enough to be given one so you polietly book it.

I don’t think they’re lying, you’ve got an appointment so I don’t see an issue.

Probably an error with the voicemail, says it’s closed when the line is engaged

I appreciate the appointment that I have but I was struggling due to childcare. Surely there should be a few but maybe it’s an error due to lines being engaged!!

They will have appointments already filled. They don't actually leave spaces for emergencies. They slot you in between appointments where they think wing take the full allotted time. .the surgery opens at 8 but they will have people waiting at the door , etc they were s couple of minutes late turning the answer phone off because they're busy .
Your childcare isn't their issue , you are being very unreasonable.
