Light period 2 years after having mirena coil fitted

So I had the mirena ( hormonal one) fitted back in June of 2023 and maybe once or twice since then had a little spotting but yesterday I had a bleed for the first time. Nothing heavy but bright red then light pink. This started 2 days ago but stopped for a day and came back again today . I have very mild discomfort on tummy . I’ve never been able to feel the strings myself but an abdominal scan I had a few months back confirmed it was in the right place.
has anyone else experienced this ? Obviously I will go doc’s if I get worried

I've had 3 mirenas. My last one came out at the 5 year point and by that point my periods had started to come back a bit as the hormones tapered off. My most recent one was also fitted in 2023. At first virtually no period at all - spotting/blood when I wipe or nothing - but have also been having bleeds more recently. Still very light as periods go, but definitely an actual bleed compared to spotting. I use an app to track so that I can be sure any bleeding is in sync with my cycle and had just assumed it was perimenopause-related as am in my late 40s, but anything like this is always worth checking with your GP.
