Bleach water wash?

Hi all,
Bit of an embarrassing one…

Earlier today (around 4 hours ago) I accidentally washed my bum with household bleach diluted in water. Our bidet isn’t working, and my handy man had been cleaning and left a jug by the toilet which I assumed was just water for me to use — turns out it had water with bleach in it 😬 I’m 6 weeks pregnant aswel

I rinsed thoroughly straight afterwards. There’s no soreness or irritation at all now, but I’m wondering if I should expect a delayed reaction or if it’s likely to be fine?

Has anyone done something similar? Would you just leave it and see, or get it checked as a precaution?

Thanks in advance.

Nothing beats the sparkling clean feeling of a bleach bum. I think you'll be fine.

It’s fine, you’ve rinsed your skin. There isn’t really anything that can be done (not that there needs to be with diluted bleach that’s been immediately washed off). I’ve cleaned with undiluted bleach and got some on my skin. It rinses off no problem and has never been irritant.

Nah you’ll be fine. Milton is actually just very diluted bleach

topcat2014 · 09/01/2026 12:14

Not too dissimilar to a swimming pool when diluted. I wouldn't worry

It wasn’t Milton was normal house hold bleach you get from Asda
