How to feel better

This flu type bug started in mid November. I had a nuclear cold, more snot than I can ever remember. Bad cough, short of breath, ridiculously tired. Like - need a sleep in the car at lunchtime and a nap when I come home. Cotton wool head, confused and unwell with temps.
Anyway I went to the dr who prescribed antibiotics but she couldn’t hear anything on my chest so it was just in case. She said it was viral. I was so poorly at that time I didn’t manage to get the antibiotics until four days later. Once I started them, it all cleared up and I felt better but still hugely tired, sleeping a full night and a good nap in the day.
Christmas week - I have started to go downhill again. Cough has returned and I could sleep for England.
when I went to dr she took bloods which were the best I’ve had in years (I have low ferritin but the result was the best I’ve had in 6 years! Ferritin was 44 so I’m still taking iron tablets.

any advice please? I’m starting to feel poorly again but I know the dr won’t hear anything on my chest so really what can they do?

Lots of people in the U.K. are low in Vit D, boosting it can help respiratory health. When they did bloods did they also check thyroid, Vit B12/ folate by chance? Drs don’t often check Vit D these days.
Post viral fatigue is a possibility, but if you’ve been low iron in the past it can sometimes go hand in hand with the other deficiencies I’ve mentioned. If it was Covid that you’ve had, lots of people have ended up with low b12 & Vit D after having covid, which extends the exhaustion/recovery period.
I hope you feel better soon Flowers
