Sore boobs

I'm 58, on oestrogel (2 pumps) and the Mirena for HRT.

over the last couple of days my boobs have felt really sore/heavy, with a lot more tenderness than usual around the nipples.

I'm assuming it's hormonal, but just wanted a wider perspective please. Any point in bothering my GP? The only time I can remember recently that they've felt like this is when I tried to increase my HRT gel, so I've stuck at 2 pumps for ages.

Amost feels like early pregnancy boobs or the start of mastitis.

Any thoughts/reassurances?

Same problem here. Worse in one. Been on HRT two years this is only a recent issue. Went to see GP who has packed me off to the breast clinic for mammogram etc before she will discuss changing dosage. Just what you need in the run up to Christmas. I’d maybe give it a couple of weeks and see if it goes.
