Length of time from referral to ultrasounds(not pregnant)?

Been referred by my GP's practice to a nearby practice (presumably bc mine doesn't have the ability to do so) for non obstetric abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds. Anyone have any experience on the wait times? It's referred in the same way as one would be to a specialist but I wondered (hoped) it might be quicker since it's literally the next closest doctors surgery in the area. Quite stressed about these scans, just seeking a little more info :)

It depends entirely on the area, but I’m in Lincolnshire and for non urgent ultrasounds the wait time is currently about 3-6 months.

I'm in the north west. Trying to keep my expectations to 3+ months

I had one recently for post menopausal bleeding. Referral made one day, call from hospital following day and appt within 10 days. Nothing sinister and amazing service. Wiltshire.

Diagnostic scans ‘should’ be performed within 6 weeks - government targets, not always possible to be met of course, but the surgery should be able to tell you a realistic timescale. GP surgeries don’t usually have their own sonographers, it may be that the local hospital hold sessions there, or a private company has been contracted in.
