How long have people waited for thier smear results lately? I’m impatient as I get anxious about this kind of thing.

Only a week here

me24x · 06/12/2025 20:10

10 days. Never got a letter though (was told I would) just a message through the NHS app saying all clear

TheThingOnTheIce · 06/12/2025 21:03

Yeah I never got a letter this time and only waited a week maybe less

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 06/12/2025 21:05

1-2 weeks. I think I got it just on NHS app.

Had my appointment at 3pm on Monday. NHS app pinged with the results on Thursday morning on my way to work.

Had mine this week and the nurse said it would be 4 weeks and I'd hear through the NHS app.

I had a smear recently on a Friday at lunchtime and I got the result in the NHS app on the Monday. I assume that was partly because it was negative for HPV though so they didn’t actually test it beyond that.

Thanks, was 10 days last time, I am just really stressing as it’s been a tough year with gynae stuff, bleeding for months on end before finally having an ablation of my womb! Then I typically got an infection and needed a stay in hospital so just overwhelmed with another thing down there!

The nurse who took mine said up to 6 weeks! I hope not.
