First period after Mirena

I got Mirena inserted on cd2. My period actually stopped the next day, which is surely coincidence because I don’t think it works that quickly. Since then I’ve had a bit of spotting but nothing much.

My doctor said the first period can be very heavy. Just wondering about others experience of this. Did it come on time? Mine is due at Christmas and I‘m nervous. My periods are very heavy, which was a driving factor in getting the coil

I never had a period after it was put in, I spotted for about 7 months instead.

I spotted for months after. I have very very light periods now and not regularly, though mine is for HRT.

I still do get PMT and cramps sadly.

I haven't had one since having the it put in
