Five months post hysterectomy - bones pain

I had my hysterectomy in July and I’ve had a fairly straightforward recovery. Kept one ovary. No HRT.
I’ve been back to ‘normal’ life since Sept and in the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed that my bones hurt a lot. Especially my ribs and my back. I don’t know if this is due to going back to work and generally doing more or whether this is hormonal. I’m extremely tired despite sleeping at least 10 hours a night and I get worn out doing the most basic stuff like tidying up or making a bed. I ache like I’m getting a cold and my skin and muscles are sore to the touch. I’m worried that if I see my GP they will say that it’s just the way it is or just whack me on HRT without investigating. Anyone else experience this post hysterectomy?

My bones ache when my iron levels are low. The GP tested my ferritin level and it was 19. I’m on iron tablets now and my bones no longer ache. You need to see your GP.

That’s interesting. I’ve struggled with anaemia for the past 15 years and having the hysterectomy was one of the things supposed to stop me getting anaemic. When my ferritin gets low I get dizzy. It’s been as low as 7 in the past. I don’t feel dizzy at the moment though. Just very achy.
