Small hard lump in breast

Hi all

I’m a week PP with a 7 day old. I am combi feeding and a few days ago I noticed a small hard lump, similar size and feel to a lemon pip. Doesn’t feel very moveable and it’s above my nipple, about 1-2 finger widths back and js very hard.

I went to see the GP today who said it feels quite long so she thinks it’s a milk duct and said she can feel similar in different areas of both breasts but I can’t. The rest of my breast does feel lumpy but all what I would consider normal, this does stand out.
she has referred me to the breast clinic but not on the 2 WW.
Has anyone experienced anything like this and it be benign? I have no experience of cysts, blocked milk ducts or anything like this before so no idea if jt can be compared to anything like that.

I am fearing the worst and have 2 small children and I can’t talk myself down. I don’t want this to ruin my time with my new baby but feels like a cloud over me 😢

I've had blocked milk ducts @StarSB1712 . I remembef them being pretty much as you describe (it was many years ago). Please don't worry, the overwhelming liklihood is that that's what it is. I think as it's upsetting you so much - which is extremely understandable- they should put you on the 2 week pathway. Do go back and ask them, or ring them. It's not acceptable for you to be worrying like this with a new baby.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Anything like this gives me some reassurance. It’s so hard, I knot my emotions are everywhere right now. I am a worrier anyway.
The dr said she thinks I’ll still be seen in 2-4 weeks anyway, so perhaps if I haven’t heard in 2 weeks I’ll get in touch. I know people say about the odds but I keep thinking of the worst x
