Ovesse-sudden hideous reaction?

I’ve been using Ovesse, with such relief from GSM, since the beginning of June with no problems.
The other day I thought I was having a flare up of LS and started applying the usual Dermovate daily. Again, no issues. Last night after showering I opened a brand new tube of Ovesse and applied. However, a couple of hours later I was suffering a lot of discomfort and labia pain/stinging.
With a mirror I went to look and apply some Dermovate as I hadn’t yet done that, and my labia are red raw and have a white ulceration (same place each side, almost a mirror of each other). Is this a sudden reaction to the new Ovesse? Has anyone else had a reaction to it?
I know I need to try to see a dr for an examination but I work 40 mins away from my surgery and have back to back appointments booked in well in advance. I also leave for work at 7:30am when the surgery isn’t even open for the daily telephone appointment scramble, so not sure when I can arrange to be seen.

I am currently just using a barrier cream for protection, and won’t use either Ovesse or Dermovate in hope it will calm down. I just don’t understand the sudden reaction and wondered if anyone else had suffered?

No advice on Ovesse but can you ask your gp for a telephone consultation? I can never get to the surgery but I fill in a form online and then they get back to me pretty quickly.

I used to be able to, it was a brilliant service. Sadly they stopped it.
