Looking for reassurance post hysterectomy

Hello,

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy last week, and I’m now home recovering. I’m taking it easy but I keep panicking that I’m going to stand for too long or lift something and damage the internal stitching or cause a prolapse.
I’m aware i’m only a few days post surgery and feeling a bit tender and overwhelmed but if anyone has had this surgery and could provide some reassurance i would really appreciate it. The pain isn’t too bad (certainly not compared to the pain i was in before) but i can’t get past the fear of not healing properly.
thank you for taking the time!

Can’t really advise but can join you in mutual post op overwhelm (laparoscopy and endometrial ablation) currently keep wimping out on having a shower as don’t want to mess with the dressings.

I’m not in much pain either but then have anxiety over every little twinge being a problem.

Oh no, I’m sorry you’re going through the same thing. And I hear you re dressing, you just want to do everything right so you come out the other side feeling better! Hopefully someone can come along with some reassurance soon!

I just took it really easy and lifted very little, did very little and slowly over the six weeks I felt more and more able. I got back to full normality at around the three month mark. Just take it easy and if you don’t have to do something then don’t would be my advice

Yes I seem to be getting anxious about everything. Just not feeling very resilient at the minute and the prospect of any recovery issues is weighing heavy. Sorry to hear you’re feeling similar. I would rather have more pain with the certainty all is going to be well!
