Morning After Pill - Which One?

I’m using condoms for contraception at the moment without any issues. I’m going on holiday with my partner soon and thought it would be sensible to have an emergency MAP just in case one splits whilst we’re away and I don’t want to faff with trying to get the pill in a foreign pharmacy.

Is EllaOne worth the extra £20 compared to Levonorgestrel? Other than having a bit longer to take it, I can’t really see any other differences. Or can I get EllaOne for free from an nhs pharmacy/my gp even though it’s for potential future use?

The most relevant factor in emergency contraception choices and effectiveness is where you are in your cycle when 'the incident' occurs.

You won't get it from a pharmacy as a precaution, it's only available after the incident.
