Pain my whole cycle and getting worse

As the title really, I've been to the doctors about having a lot of pain and really heavy periods and it's gotten worse since having our 1st, born by c section may24. I've had an ultrasound earlier this year but they said everything was fine and so I've now been waiting nearly 8 months for my gynecology appointment which is on 13th November.

I dont know why but I just have a horrible feeling that something is wrong. We're trying for number 2 in a, it happens when it happens, kinda way and it's been 4 months and as of yet, nothing. I finished my period early last week and as usual, heavy and painful as hell, more painful than labour. And then I've had bad random painful bloating and I get pain across my abdomen, back and sometimes it will go away for a couple hours or be on one side.

I think im just looking for others who may have experienced this and if anything was found or how it was sorted. I had a cancer scare a few years back which was more than a balls up fiasco. And had our boy since. I dont know, I guess I feel scared by all the pain and really down about it. I've had many say it's in my head so I fear of that once again.

Also TTC with not a lot happening doesn't help the brain either but that's a separate matter!

It's good you had an ultrasound. What were the findings? Even if they were normal, what did the report say? It's likely a fibroid or ovarian cyst since it's quite acute, it seems since May.

Are you on any medication for it?
For now, I recommend going back to your GP and asking them to prescribe you tranexamic acid for the heavy bleeding. It can massively reduce heavy bleeding, so ask them for that, enough for a month. Also, ask them to do/book another transvaginal scan before the gyne appointment to check for anything. As gyne will want another one since it seems your first one was a while ago and may not start treatment till then, so if you can have a recent one, it will help.

Also, ask the GP for mefenamic acid and/or naproxen (NSAIDs, which help a lot as they are anti-inflammatories and give pain relief). That will be a lot with the pain.

Long-term look into contraception as it can help a lot with thinning the uterus lining, reducing pain, bleeding etc. Particularly the mirena coil as it is localised can have an even better effect. Obviously your trying for a 2nd but after that it is something to consider.

Hopefully you'll get the ball rolling with your appointment, it's quite soon so that's also positive.
