Post hysteroscopy recovery (TW - tmi!)

Hi - I’d appreciate any advice; it’s not a topic for the squeamish!

I had a hysteroscopy a couple of days ago, which turned out to require significantly more surgical effort than was anticipated, despite preparatory scans etc; thankfully I was under GA.

My vulva & labia are pretty bruised (a lot of equipment was used!) & also cut; open sores are bleeding. (No sign of infection, no pus or unpleasant smells.)

How long will it take for the swelling & bruising to go down? (Omg the swelling!)

Walking is currently not a good idea as it restarts the bleeding & makes the stinging sensations worsen.
Other than using salt water & fresh air (I’m on bed rest anyway, thankfully, as I’m exhausted!) is there anything I can do to promote healing?
Thank you.
