Overwhelmed

I am a mother of two, my youngest is 11 months. I feel like my mental health is fairly good, but I just keep getting completely overwhelmed by things, that normally would be ok. Recently for example we were heading away on holiday and I just couldn't pack. Like it was too much to do anything. It felt like such an unsurmountable task, I couldn't even start. Could this be a medical think? I was completely crippled by it. That's just an example btw, lots of other things have been similar, like cleaning the house etc.

For context, I still breastfeed, a fair bit at night still but manageable. I have a thyroid condition, but otherwise I'm well.

Yes, it possibly is a mental health thing. You think you are coping but it's taking its toll on you.

Someone with more knowledge will hopefully be around.. but at the very least, talk to your GP.

Did you recently get married too? Have there been other things going on in your life adding to the list of things to manage?

Edited to add how old are you?

I'm 43 years old. There are no other big things, I guess I have recently started to do a little bit of work here and there after having my baby, but I didn't think it was anything too stressful. I just hate getting paralysed by this feeling 😞. Maybe I should speak to a doctor, if it carries on I definitely have to do something
