Hand foot and mouth in adults

Ive been diagnosed today with hand foot and mouth i can barely swallow but the itching on the hands is intolerable anybody that's had it know anything you can use to help with the itching this is honestly the worst illness ive ever had

My husband had it wayyyy worse than our son did when he caught it. The pharmacist advised virasoothe which is actually for chicken pox but he said it worked

Thank you will look into that yes my son had it mildly ive come down with it 10x worse never felt anything like it

I took piraton which helped. I live in fear of catching it again - can’t wait until the nursery years are over.

I had it one Christmas. Felt awful for days, it really is bad.

Loads of antihistamines and cool baths. Hope you feel better soon.

How long is it contagious for?

About a week, but it’s one of those that is contagious before you even know you have it. Surprisingly, they can still attend nursery/school with it as long as they don’t have a temperature!

Been taking antihistamines got blisters on bottom of my feet i cant walk hardily literally puts tears in my eyes when I do its honestly the worst illness ever and nothing is helping
