I’ve been suffering with lightheadedness for nearly 12 months now . I’ve had MRI scans on head and neck … 24 hr heart monitor .. 24 hr bp checks .. full bloods …h been back to opticians twice to check my eyes all ok there ….. I am now waiting for a cardiology referral as during the test it was seen I have an extra beat in my heart now and again .
It’s always worse in the mornings when waking and continues through the day gradually getting less .
it’s absolutely driving me mad . Has anyone else experienced this . I suffer from anxiety and take anti ds but have done for years . I take Wegovy for the last 18 months but have had a 6 week break and nothing changed . Any help appreciated

Yes I had this for about four months during COVID times. I couldn’t work, couldn’t drive and felt absolutely hideous most of the time. It started with pulsatile tinnitus out of nowhere (but interestingly after cardiac issues where I went into AF) so also had the MRI scans etc. I was getting nowhere on the NHS so saw ENT privately who sent me for extra tests (V-Hit ?) and was diagnosed with bilateral vestibular hypofunction. Several weeks of vestibular rehabilitation exercises from a specialist physio (Google them, you have to be persistent) gradually improved my symptoms but it was a good while before I was back at work etc and felt anything like normal. A really low time. God knows where it came from. Betahistine and cyclizine helped.
I still have the tinnitus.

Wow never considered anything like this . MSK did say it could be worthwhile getting gp to refer me to ENT . Was yours dizziness or lightheaded ? I feel like I’m tipsy drunk sometimes when walking it’s not actual spinning . I’ve no tinnitus . Can I ask what cardiac issues you had ?

Its the WLI lowering your blood pressure.

Lightheadedness. I’ve had vertigo and it was nothing like that. Look up the vestibular rehab exercises, it’s all about retraining the brain.
I had episodes of AF (ultimately needed an ablation) and inappropriate tachycardia, so heart racing when doing very little. Still on beta blockers.
Definitely worth checking your BP too.

But surely that would have shown on my 24hr BP monitor I had 🤷🏽‍♀️
