Cramps but no period

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I’m 5 months postpartum and have had one period 40 days ago. I’ve been cramping painfully for a week now, exactly like I would if I was menstruating, but no period at all. I’m exclusively breastfeeding so I know that can interfere with your cycle, but it was pretty regular once it returned after baby number 1.

My cycle pre pregnancy was around 26 days. My husband had a vasectomy, but I still took a pregnancy test to double check regardless. Paranoia I guess 😅

Bit baffled as I’ve spent the last 7 days feeling like my period is going to start any moment, but no sign at all.

Anyone else experienced this?

I’m 4 months pp and I’ve been getting period cramping on and off for a month now, but my period hasn’t returned yet. I’m also EBF (mine will not take a dummy or bottle so it’s a lot). I would be fine with this if I wasn’t having uncomfortable cramps.

I know it’s not the same situation but I’m also confused.
