Had procedure mid sep due to a post menopause bleed and had a polyp removed from cervix. Had burning and pink on wiping for a few days. 2 weeks later when passing urine really bad burning sensation. Have had urine test done and positive for leukocytes and was given 3 days of antibiotics.
Finushef the course still had symptoms urine test repeated still positive for leukocytes and also pyuria and sample sent to lab. Symptoms seemed to have eased but had pink again on wiping.
I’ll be ringing gp again on Monday but feel like I’m going round in circles. Pyuria wasn’t mentioned just seen in on the NHS app and to add in to the mix got severe itching and discharge so was prescribed a pessary and cream for thrush which haven’t helped. I really think I need to be seen in person

Has vaginal atrophy / genitourinary syndrome of menopause been considered? There is a symptom checker on page 14-15 of this booklet and what can help https://menopausesupport.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Menopause-Support-Booklet-V2.pdf
