I had a hysteroscopy 10 days ago. This was done after I complained to the GP about heavy periods since the birth of my youngest (15 months). I was referred for an ultrasound which showed thickened uterus lining which then referred me for hysteroscopy.
I am waiting for the biopsy results, had it done under GA, and my notes state that I had hysteroscopy and cutterage?
had very minimal spotting for a few days after the procedure and then got my period 1 week after, this was the day it was due.
This period started very lightly which is what I expected as I’d had some of the lining removed during the procedure, but now 5 days in it seems to be getting heavier by the day, bright red blood, and very crampy.
is this normal? Has anyone had this procedure done before and experienced even heavier period after?
